In terms of convenience, you can’t do better than this location. Located close to the reception, this is a cheap Uber ride away – and being in the heart of the Poplar Avenue corridor, you’re also nearby so many other amenities, though it helps if you have a car.
There is a Whole Foods within walking distance, along with a variety of restaurants, including Folk’s Folly, Houston’s, Casablanca, SOB East, and Belmont Grill. (Hint: the best Gus’s Fried Chicken in the city is a 2 minute drive away.)
If you’re into some contemplative walks through sculpture gardens and museum halls, don’t miss the Memphis Botanic Garden or The Dixon Gallery and Gardens.
The hotel also features a pool and a complimentary airport shuttle – we would advise calling the hotel first to arrange the shuttle, if you need it.

If you’re looking for a true Memphis experience while you’re in town, we recommend staying here. The Central Station Hotel is located in the heart of the South Main Arts District – a cultural and commercial neighborhood that’s pedestrian friendly and super hip.
Fun fact: we had our first date at Eight & Sand in the lobby of this hotel! (And Clare's former workplace did the branding while she was there). Nearby restaurants include Bishop (also in the lobby), Good Fortune Co., Slider Inn, Gus’s Fried Chicken, The Arcade, Longshot, and Central BBQ.
It’s also ideal for late night hangs, with Bar Hustle, BarWare, Max’s, and the legendary Earnestine & Hazel’s all within stumbling distance. Most importantly, if you have time, we encourage you to visit the National Civil Rights Museum located just up the street – it is truly one of the most important landmarks in our city.
Please let us know if you're able or unable to attend, thank you!
